Buschur vs. Vishnu tuning

Well I just purchased a blue Evo, and I love this car. I used to own an 02 dodge with a 12" lift and hated to get rid of it, but it was time to start tuning a 4cy again. I used to own a 96 civic with a T28 system that a shop here in Houston helped me build and also helped with the install (SGP performance). Well it wasn't long after Thursday 01-22-04 that it was time to start to see what I can do to extract more ponies from the Evo. I logged on to several forums, but decided this would be my new home. I found two very interesting sites that work on Evo's (buscherracing.com and vishnutuning.com). I can't decide which one to go with. I like the fact that br is using the apexi, but this requires some level of techincal data to tune. I don't know if I am ready for this, maybe so, but maybe not. I have no idea how "user friendly" the tuning module can be. I also came across vishnu's XEDE system. I know that this is even more complicated, but they have downloadable maps for certain setups. My question to is, which one????? I have seen that most of the posts here are geared more towards br, but what are the pro's and con's to each? BTW Hello to all, and I look foward to the journey ahead.

Jon

WELCOME!!!

It is totally up to you with those two tuners. Nothing bad to say about either of them. I personally chose Vishnu because I wanted more control then just the APEXI. Also all I want is 340-350 whp and all I need for that is 4 basic parts from Vishnu(Stage 1 plus) BR is top notch though, never heard a bad thing about BR and they have been tuning DSM's for at least a decade.

Both have their advantages. Another alternative is to just get your ECU reflashed by Buschur for the mods that you put on your car. Pretty hard to mess up and maximized to your mods

Welcome to the forum! Enjoy!

Both tuners have an excellent reputation on this board. You can't make a bad decision between the 2 of em.

But in the past, almost every 'which tuner is better' thread has turned into a huge flamefest. On these grounds, I am going to close this thread at the very first incidence of any flaming.

Although I went with Vishnu and I am very glad I did, you should not be in a hurry and take a while before you do ANYTHING. Welcolme, and once again PATIENCE.
