Shepp stage 2.5 transfer case?

anyone know if/what is the stage 2.5 Sheppard transfer case?

probably a stupid question, but i just bought my first Evo last month.it is currently being tuned at Mellon Racing.

the guy i bought it from has the transmission listed as Sheppard Racing transmission with 4.11 final with Evo9 1st and 5th.i follow that

he also has the transfer case listed as Sheappard T-Case stage 2.5,and all i saw on Shepp's site was stage 2 and stage 3.i wondered if maybe there was maybe a one part upgrade on the stage 2 that some people call it a 2.5 or ?

anyone?thanks?

props to Mellon.he sent me the VD tune on pump gas and he made 600whp in the 100* heat at 29psi.when i took him the car it was putting down about 440whp on 21psi.don't know how he did it,but i can't wait to get it back.

thanks again for the help on the transfer case info.

It could have heavy duty gears like an upgraded Ring and Pinion Set and an upgraded LSD. Its hard to know unless you can get the receipt of the build.

also entirely possible the seller made a mistake in the listing. Unless you have a receipt there is no telling if anything was even done. If you have the name of the seller you can call shep and he can tell you what he bought.
