FMIC outlet Repair ??
Would like to hear some opinions on repairing this FMIC outlet tube. Naturally, this happened during a shipment but thats irrelevant. I am looking into the quickest simplest repair. Maybe someone has some tips or trix ! I have all the exhaust expanders, torches, etc, etc, yada, yada.. This the process I am thinking..
Install a hose clamp over the outside and snug it up..
Massage flat part back open with something round and tighten hose clamp at the same time to squeeze the wider part and help push out the flattened part.. Get what I'm sayin ? Do this enough to get the exhaust expander in there and then work with the exhaust expander by hand tightening to get it straight again..
My main concern is the aluminum splitting during the process. Should I apply some heat to soften it up a little?? Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks !

Muffler expander should work you'll just have to get it closer to round to get the tool in there. You shouldn't have to use heat. You'd be surprised how much bending aluminum can take before it cracks. Guess that also depends on type of aluminum though.
