Help my Trans shifts hard when changing gears some grinding

 

Took it to a shop they say the 1st gear is bad I don't know

 

Have you stripped the gears? Any whine from the transfer case? How many miles on the tranny?

 

tranny flush with redline mt85 stopped my gear grinding

 

May just be the synchros?

 

switching to Redline does wonders. When does it grind? Under what circumstances?

 

Mine would grind going into 5th. Guys at Dynotech Tuning recommended redline mt-90 for the tranny, shifts like butter although it could probably use rebuild lol

 

Notchiness can be from worn synchro's, improperly adjusted clutch pedal and/or air in the clutch line. Redline MT-90 straight, MT-90 mixed 50/50 with Redline Lightweight Shockproof or OEM diaqueen are the only transmission fluid combo's we recommend.
