Leaking Fluid.

Hey guys that fluid that is right next to the air filter on the evo 8 on my car is leaking everytime that i fill it up does any one know where the fluid is going to so i can check its always empty everytime i get an oil change.

I dont think its that its right next to my filter its a pretty dark oil i believe is a 75 90 w oil i think its from the transmission somewhere just not sure

it's it's near your Stock Air Filter location it would be the ACD fluid for the newer(05+) cars and the Intercooler Sprayer for the older cars without ACD.

yeah its right next to the stock air filter and yea i have an 05 so where would that be coming out of the transfer case or where?

yes. ACD is in the Transfer Case.

Did you happen to overfill the reservoir?


I once overfilled mine and when the car was warm it would leak out from under the cap.

well it all seems to be coming from the transmission area everytime i fill it up it just leaks it back out

When cold, where did you fill it to? I found if you fill it a little over the MIN mark it won't leak.

Is it leaking from the reservoir or the thin line going from pump to transfer case if you can see it.

See thats the thing i dont know cause i coudlnt never see ther is just oil everytime i feel it up is there a seal in the transfer case that be busted that it could leak out of
