EVO 8 Cam profiles(technical)

i notice some of the cam shaft makers like to make more lift and duration on the intake can shaft and less on the exhaust side, while some builders make both intake and exhaust identical in lift and duration.

2 questions:

why do some cam makers have staggered cams and some don't?
also which is better for the EVO 8 and why?

i guess that's 3 questions actually.
