Question Whats my Problem/WHP??

Whats up all. Just got back from Pruven. Had my car reflashed for the 2nd time since I got it. Had my cams, 264/272 and fuel pump put in yesterday before the reflash. But Im only Making 281 to the wheels. With my Mods it should be more. I was told by Al that the prob is not having aboost controller. And I understand what he is talking about, BUT i have read others w/out a BC that run much better than me with similar mods. I would think with my mods I should be running at 300. 281 seems low, BC or not. My car was 230 w/t-back and my 1st D-flash took me to 261 that same day. Then yest got my cams in and pump and onyl went to 281. My boost has been peaking consistently at 21 on the streets and only dropping to 17-18, b/fore yesterday. Now drops to 16. And Like I said, Al had done me well and my brother, but Im just confused as to why the cams and reflash didnt make more than 20 WHP, boost controller or not. And supposedly they told me if I do get a BC I would jump to 310-20. I just think I should be at more with what I started at and what Ive done to this point. Any help or anyone with similar mods to compare with me??

Can I ask how many miles you got and if you're still on the stock clutch or not?

Your problem is you need a boost controller

with the stock boost solinoid you are only running 16 psi max

All you need is a boost controller and turn up the boost to 19 psi

We have discovred recently that cars with stock booost set up and cams will not hold boost

You did pick up 20 whp which is not bad considering you have only 16 psi

Just buy a Buschur MBC its well under $100 and turn up the boost to 19 - !

I agree, get yourself a decent boost controller.

The factory front mount intercooler will definitely support more than 300whp.

Remeber with cams its about matching everything. You get the most out of them when you match the head intake exaust etc.

Just get a boost controller from www.boostcontroller.com

They have great boost controllers and they are only $50. DSM guys have been using them for years.
