84mm intakes vs. stock inlet - power gains?

On turbos like the FP turbos and the EF series turbos that offer 84mm inlets or stock sized, what kind of gains can be seen from the stock inlet size to the 84mm?

What is the general consensus on the 84mm intakes... besides that it bumps you out of the "stock appearing" turbo class.

Depends on fuel and boost level. On a stock turbo it was 20whp at 38psi on E85, larger turbos will fair better. The Red and above I would definitely recommend it unless you are trying to stay in class. Green could go either way.

So for example, if I was going to run the EF3 turbo, around 25psi on 93 octane, the difference between the stock inlet and 84mm inlet would be negligible?
