If you go 6266, get the DBB version or don't run Precision.

Also, the turbo is a beast on pump:

mine is making over 550whp (dynojet) on 25psi on pumpgas (93) on a road race (i.e. conservative as all get out). . .if you are looking for just 550 I'd look at something closer to the 5858.

Also, I agree - get the dbb or don't get a pte anything...

I was told by Maperformance the 6266 journal bearing is fine, only spools 400 rpm later than a dbb

I was told by my tuner, Walbro 400lph is just fine for fuel along with 2000cc injectors tuned with e85

Yeah ofc they would. But the ball berring has so many advantages over jurnal berring that im supprised they even off them.

Im no expert but i cannot understand why you would want to get a turbo that you know is going to expire before a ball berring one "Apart from cost"

I can name a few,

as you mentioned cost
cheaper to rebuild
no oil restrictor needed
make the same power with "400" rpm slower spool

theres a few right there.

Lol it's pretty known that PTE's JB turbos are not so hot....if you're going to spend the money on a turbo why not save up and get the best one possible instead of settling for the fat ugly friend?

any turbo FP red and larger if FAR FAR more enjoyable with BB, and easier on the car when driving hard. its a must in my book.

only 400rpm?i would just go 6766 DBB and put down another 150whp with the 400rpm instead of going JB.400rpm is huge lag for zero more power top end.

i guess with your injectors the wally 400 will be good enough though.

OP if you're using the 400lph for that power level, you're going to need a rewire. If you rewire that pump you're going to need an AFPR as rewiring that pump overruns the stock FPR voltage wise.

Well from what I was told, the bb turbochargers can not be rebuilt, the journal bearings can be if anything was to go wrong. Are forced performance turbos more reputable reliability-wise ?
