Engine and transmission cost, Help please

Hello i was wondering how much a engine and transmission would cost. i bought a warranty from ASC warranty but im thinking of canceling it cause i im having doubts on them honoring the warranty, was thinking of taking the chance with out one. Its a 2005 evo 8 95k miles. after market exhaust and air intake.

What price for a rebuilt engine?
What price for a rebuilt transmission ?
What is the part number for the engine?

8 number on the vin is D

Im in the Allentown area. Pennsylvania.

It all depends on what fails if anything. There's really no answer, a new transmission costs around $3000 but I ended up spending $4000 on a trans rebuild. Transfer case was $1000. There's really no answer to the engine. I have Route 66 warranty. I've never heard of ASC but if you pay for a warranty, it should cover things such as this, if not it's fraud.

Well for your transmission and transfer case you can always look at oem rebuilds or upgraded rebuilds from Sheps http://sheptrans.com He gets a lot of good press around here on EvoM (at least from my reading he does )

You may as well build a motor if your replacing one. with a motor and trans you looking around 7000 to 10,000 bucks for all that new. the block should be Marked with a 4g63 on the block

If your transmission is in decent condition and so is your motor.. Be prepared to spend ~ $7k for rebuilding them both.

Just short block rebuild will be easy 4k with labor. Trans rebuild will cost 1k+ plus labor. Look around our vendor site, you will get an idea cost of rebuild ur short block.

Talk to your local evo shop, they can put you right way and save $.

Do you need rebuild ur motor/tran?
