I have had both HKS 280's and currently have 272's...stock valvetrain and over 50k combined...no issues at all.

Springs really arent that big deal and could be worth it. S2s or Kelford 272s but its a good idea to upgrade the springs. I have Kelford 272s, GSC beehives and love them.

I personally have had on my 4(four Evos) the following cams:

HKS 264/264
Buddy clubs 272
GSC S1
GSC S2

I would probbaly recommend the HKS 264 or the GSC S1. I never replaced my valvetrain on any of my Evos. I value streatbility a lot.
