Need help with build ... 6 k budget.

I'm new to the forum and need some direction on my current build... I has purchased a car that was knocking and this is it's current setup
Engine:
-Stage 1 GSC cams
-1000cc RC injectors
-Evolution 9 MR BOV
-AMS Front Mount Intercooler
-Lower Intercooler pipe with Factory Upper Intercooler pipe
-Ported Exhaust Manifold
-FP Black Turbo
-3' Megan Downpipe and 3' all the way back
-Megan O2 turbo outlet housing
-Hallman Boost Controller
-CNT racing fuel pump
-ARP Head Studs
-ACT 2600

Pretty sure its tuned on stock ecu

Would like to make big reliable power on a 6 k budget. I'm new to evos so try not to crucify me.

Depending on how big you go will very much limit your budget, but that being said you already have some good mods. I would get that knocking worked out first.
Also big power and reliability don't really go hand in hand, so whats your power goal? I'd start from there.

On 93 right now, power wise I heard a fp was good to 600-650 so I think I would like to get as close to that as possible . I'd also like it to be streetable. On the knocking issue I didn't know if I should just go and buy a build bottom end or what would be my best bet.

What this guy said. Fast, cheap, reliable. And you can only pick two. Trying to add power to a motor that is already knocking can only lead to disaster. Rod bearings aren't that much, but labor is a big cost if you aren't mechanically inclined. Fix the knock, and then you can focus on your power goals.

I think it's taste and preferences at this point with the bottom end. I like the building process, but it takes a little time and mechanic ability. If you don't have either, then maybe buying an already build bottom end will be your best bet.

I Don't think the built bottom end will resolve your knocking issues but it is a good way to start with the power goal in mind but it will take a chunk out of your budget along with other costs for labor. There are many reputable shops, Bushur, AMS, JAM, MAP to name a few that have proven built blocks. Here's a link to give you an idea about whats on offer.

Build a 2.3l storker and save what is left for things that break. with that motor you can have a fun street car with a lot of power

well if you're doing all the work, you could use the extra dough for a stock frame turbo... like a FP Green/red/black or a BBK series or a MAP EF2/3/4 turbo...

However if you arent doing the work yourself, expect to drop 6k on just the short block. As mentioned, A clutch is a must if your planning to push more power through you motor
