How long of a wait for New FP black?

Just curious how long it took to get an FP black for those of you who ordered it new from FP. I realize there is a disclaimer on their site saying the FP black "should not be considered on the shelf", I'm just trying to plan and budget my build out. I ordered mine 6 weeks ago, its still in their build queue.

Delivery time always varies based on their work load. You should be asking them what the ETA is. No one here is going to know.

I did 2 weeks ago, they said they are waiting on the machine shop and can't give me an ETA. I was just trying to see if anyone else had similar wait times, if this is a common thing or if mine is just taking longer. I saw one post on a FB group that a guy waited 3 months for an order but I didn't look into that claim

Parts are commonly made in batches. I bet yours is in progress at the machine shop.

Gotcha. I understand the logic behind it, get the most out of getting parts made. Just sucks that I have to wait for all of them to be made to get mine. Getting antsy for sure, I want to bolt that new turbo on!

Total wait time was exactly one week short of 3 months. I'm not a patient person, but after opening the box I feel it was worth the wait. Awesome turbo.

Patience pays off. FP products always make the power for stock bolt on stuff. The wheel design is extremely good.

If you get a BB unit , make sure you enlarge the driver side port on the valve cover and run a good baffled can recirculated back to the intake pipe. The CHRA is sensitive to crank case pressure.

I got a JB turbo, because of budget and because I saw a lot of people complaining about the oil leaking. I understand the crankcase pressure being the problem, but for now I saw this as my best option. And the first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the compressor wheel. Definitely an upgrade from my stock turbo
