timer help plz

hi, i've a blitz dtt dc2 timer. unfortunately the harness (greddy)they gave me was incompatible w/my factory alarm. so they sent me a blitz harness (mi-04 or 51203). so b4 i take the trouble of switching out the harness and putting the blitz one in, i'ld like to know if the blitz 95-99 eclipse harness is compatible w/the evo. or does blitz make a special harness for the evo?

thanks for your help in advance.

I know on my timer's harness it could be used on diferent cars. As for the alarm I had to rewire some crap to get it to work properly. If the harneses are the same there is a very good walk thru over at Vfaq...but Im not sure if it would completey match up with the EVO vs the eclipse worth a shot tho!

the harness's are pretty much all the same its only 4 wires that adapt a second harness to the ignition so the timer can override the key... I'm using an HKS harness and I have ZERO problems with the stock alarm

Then there must be differences in the cars. Pin outs or what not. I have a 97 eclipse with factory alarm and without rigging the wiring the factory alarm did not arm itself when the timer shut off. I had (now stolen, stupid *******s) a HKS type 1. I had to do the work around posted over on the vfaq tutorial.

No one asked to be told anything just stating my experiences. Dunno maybe you got a magic harness or the magic touch . I mean there really isnt much to the damn things and I thought it was kinda bad that it didnt work. It was a big concern to me do to having a 'vert and I would park it with the top down often. So if you opened the door from reaching in the alarm would go off. After installing the timer I found that it didnt work and you could not do the normal: lock and close the door and the stock alarm would arm........I believe this was due to the fact that the car was still running and factory alarm couldnt tell that the car wasnt just driving around or just stopped at a light and you locked the door. This is where dsmtalk.com and the vfaq came into play I found that I was no where close to being the only one with that same problem and lucky for me they had the work around!!! Liek I said before not sure if this applies to the EVO or not becuase I have no experiance with these cars but I have also ran a search on this prob for teh evo's and it seems others with evos are having the same trouble having to sit in the car still until the turbo counted down and then armed the alarm...kinda defeats the purpose.
