Clutch measurement question!!!!

Guys I have an ACT clutch in my evo8 assuming its just a HD meaning the next step up from oem, well money is tight and the pressure plate took a crap and I was looking online for a new clutch kit, and noticed that the clutch is offered in different sizes such as 8.5 and 9.5 what does this mean cuz there is a major price different between them and no1 seems to able to answer this question. Both clutches are HD and disk, for st./track, meaning the next step up from oem, what is this measurement mean? And which one do I buy? The 8.5 is 330.00 and the 9.5 is 600.00, guys any info will help, thanx, need to order to tonight!

The larger clutches were used in more aggressive engines, for various reasons, such as contact surface area, torque load. The smaller clutch is also less rotating mass. I have the 9.5 on my car it holds pretty good , good luck on buy
