Mobil 1 breakin to 600 no oil lost
Mobil 1 at 1000 no oil lost
Mobil 1 oil change at 1200 miles
Mobil 1 now and still no oil lost

I reved her up pretty good when I first bought her. Took it up to about 6k a few times at about 20 miles on the engine , just to help seal up the new engine. Also at 120 miles I drove her for an hour straight so the engine would heat all the way up and seal and do all that good stuff. Also alway was on the pedal. Tryed to not stay at a certain rpm for to long. Sort of ****

Oil loss or not

Mobil One changed every 2000 miles no loss in 11000 mile to speak of. Maybe a quarter of a quart if I have made several passes at the track.

doesnt the level of modifications/boost level influence how much oil is being used? if your running 26psi your going to need to cool your engine with more oil than if you were running stock boost. also someone who has an upgraded turbo is sure to use more oil than a stock turbo'd car.

another poll

Perhaps we could poll on the *subjective* idea that the 'type' of driving could be a factor in oil consumption after breakin.

Namely...

****************

During Breakin:

Hard Driving -- no consumption
Medium (Spirited) Driving -- no consumption
By the Book Slow A-- Driving -- no consumption

Hard Driving -- some consumption
M -- Some consumption
S -- Some consumption

H -- lots of consumption
M -- lots of consumption
S -- lots of consumption

*****************

Would this be a good poll?

Thanks,

jcnel.
