A Whining Noise a high speeds

well when im at the track i dont let off till 140mph normally n it made a little whine for a quick second. I took the car out and went to 155-160mph and after 140-145 something whines sounds like it is coming from the back of the car and had a gopro outside the car and it didnt pick up the noise. so you can only hear it inside the car. Any thoughts?

Im thinking rear diff, but why at 145+ the faster you go the louder it gets.

This is not my car but that is what mine sounds like right around 145 mph

Rear diff all the way probably bad bearing. Just did mine cause it was making a loud noise when my foot was on the gas doing 45 and when I give it gas it got louder. I had a bad pinion bearing

I pin pointed the sound. It sounds like it is coming from the front right side of the car. When i gets nicer out i might make a vid of it.

I started to hear this same noise when I go over 100mph. I'm going to see if I can post a video of it later today.

You got any harder mount bushings in your car? Such as front engine mount, differential support/ mustache bar bushings? If so, that could cause the noise. And for that high speed, wouldn't it be pretty normal for evos? If it occurs at decel at 40-70 mph then that's definitely T case.

Have you located the source exactly to fix the problem or are you waiting for something to break? I'm curious as to what it is.

Chances are at those speeds youre hearing the oil being squeezed from between the ring and pinion of the rear diff and hearing the metal on metal... Either run oem oil or something extremely high quality.

Any bad bearing whine would come on much much sooner...
