play on FP Red

My journal Fp Red evo 9 turbo has some in an out play which sucks super bad.. The inlet wheel is starting to touch the compressor wheel but to much. minimum to none. but still I wanna know if there is a rebuild kit that is made for this turbo or if i can just use one of the ebay rebuild kits? i would send it in but its a lil too much for me at the moment.
I put my stock evo 8 turbo on so i wont mess it up more.

Let me know what you guys think is the best thing to do.

I think the price starts at $410 for the basic rebuild and goes up based on what you need.

$410 plus shipping don't seem too bad! Incidentally, what motor oil and filter have you been running? What were the oil change intervals? What boost levels? Did you have the FP oil feed line installed? Finally, did you purchase the turbo new or used?

mobil 1 fully syn. oil changed every 3,000 (made sure of that). I would high boost only at times and kept boost normal most of the time. I used the Fp 1st gen kit. turbo was used about 4,000 miles. it got checked out and everything was fine with it it had 0.0something of play

i wouldnt run mobil 1 with an FP turbo. FP posted a list of oil they suggest you use with their FP Reds and Blacks.

Just send it in for a rebuild, FP will take care of you. May take a lil time, so if your EVO is your DD, you may wanna grab a stock turbo to throw on it temporally.

I don't think that the $410 is for their HTA wheel line. Keep us informed though I would like to hear how much it ends up being.

yea it kinda sucks, i think the price to make your jb into a bb is like 1800.00. they use some parts from your turbo in the rebuild. in my case my turbo was trash, so i took it up the poop shute and forked out the 2500.00 for the bb, OUCH !!
