Which way to go ?

Im hearing all this talk to go rich or lean on a safc and now im wondering what to do .....so this is my info,i have a aem intake and a full 3inch exaust with a boost controller set at 20psi.......What should i do add fuel or subtract.....and starting at what rpm?

Dont do anything in the mid range. You can take out like 10% on top - BUT - best idea is to get it tuned with a wideband o2 - no sense risking damage to your engine for a few $

so do i richen it up for now to be safe or leave it how it is.???? and by the way what would be the best a/f ratio on the dyno wideband...

Definately have it tuned on a dyno to see what AFR you are pulling and adjust according to that. Don't just take general statements of richening it up here, and lean it out there. Not everyone's cars are running the same.

ill tell you one thing though i got clouds of black smoke coming out at wot in 2nd 3rd or 4th ......it looks like a f-350...lol....w/e i dont know this is starting to **** me off...im going to bed and try to figure this out in the morning..lol sorry guys talk to you tomorrow...

I like to tune for 11.0 / 1 - its a decent compromise between power and safety

Somethings are easy to do it yourself. I wouldn't say that engine tuning is one you want to tackle without the right equipment - egt gauge and wideband and maybe a knock meter - there are hundreds of dyno shops that can tune a safc - why play around ?

well my question is if my v for the o2 is at .830 at wot and i have the full intake and exaust should i go rich or lean

Factory O2s aren't accurate indicators of AFR other than 14.7:1

Plus, narrowband O2 sensors (think the ones in your car) are meant for steady state runs-- idling and cruising. Not for WOT. ESPECIALLY not for WOT on a turbo.

Dyno on a wideband O2 and you'll get a better idea how the whole fuel delivery is. Tuning from the narrowband only is recipe for an aluminum biscuit.
