Death Whine Possibly?

So I purchased an 05 Evo 8 MR with 60k about 1 month ago. About a week ago I changed the engine oil, tranny, transfer case, and rear diff.

Engine oil- Brad Penn
Tranny-BG Synchro Shift
TCase and Rear Diff- Diaqueen Multi Gear Oil 75w-90

It has been 300 miles since the fluid change, and there is a whine that is slowly getting worse.

The faster I go, the more prominent the whine is.
While keeping a steady speed I CAN hear the whine (anything above 50mph)
Going down the Hwy when I let off the gas I CANNOT hear the whine
Going down the Hwy when I depress the clutch pedal I CAN hear the whine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

ok when u cruise steady at 50mph and then let off while still in gear, can u hear anything?
from then when u push on the gas (put load) can u hear it? it doesnt have to be WOT, just regular push on the gas to increase speed, if u can its the tcase.

the clutch thing i dont know.

did u put the right amount of tcase fluid in?

make sure you put the right amount of fluid in the transfer case. It will act full and have fluid drip out of the fill plug but if you let it sit 5mins you can add more fluid. Repeat these steps until you actually cannot get any more fluid into it after waiting... I would almost guarantee that is what your problem is. most people do not put enough fluid in them

T-case fluid was full along with the rear diff. This diaqueen seems thin for it to be 75w ....

I feel stupid... But I figured it out by calling sheptrans.
I put 75w85 in it, and it needs 90w lsd gear oil, Im changing it tomorrow and hoping nothing has been damaged

and btw lancershop was quite misleading.

dont get your hopes up, once the whine starts it doesnt stop, it only gets worse. even if you change to the right fluid.

yeah Lancer shop is wrong. That's very misleading. The picture and price is for MR 6-speed transmission fluid. The LSD Diaqueen oil is in a red and white container with gold letters and is around $50/gallon

I know this is an old post, but I wanted to see if this actually solved your issue? I'm dealing with something similar.

It's been changed. It was very misleading in September of 2012. I didn't think it would have ever mattered but I called and gave a piece of my mind.
