This is Dustin from BC. PAC racing springs in michigan makes the BC springs as well as most of the competing brands. No quality issues at all. If anyone has any questions or concerns my direct line is 619-749-9018 or you can email me at dustin@briancrower.com

How so man u can get a bad part with any manufacturer. Ive had them for past 45k on my car revvin 8 k daily. Spring choice should factor into rpms among other things. Dual springs are nice but i hear many issues with valve stem seals. Its all in intended purpose of car.

Stiffer springs (regardless of manufacturer) have been known to cause premature wear on valve train components. Will it be an issue in 50k miles? Probably not, but it's something to think about.

Get springs. If you miss a gear or arent paying attention while shifting, its very possible to see 8k. You dont want to be in the boat of "i should have waited to get springs, now i have bent valves". search my username on youtube for the sound of my s2's loping.

It's been brought to my attention that there is in fact a difference from Crower and the new BC products. I was unaware that the company had made these changes and I was speaking from the product reviews about Crower products I just wanted that to be known.

Never missed a gear yet ! I have about 3 months before I pull the head to do timing belt etc etc going to drop some goodies inside the head all at once. So are BC springs been updated better whats the info? I dont care what springs they are just enough to rev max 8500* if I was to not be paying attention which would never happen....

I won't bash any products, but I will tell you that I support GSC and Kiggly.

In a nutshell, lol. There's obviously other factors to take into account but per the conversation here yeah that's right.

Dustin didn't get into specifics about the springs but he did mention that since 2006 pretty much anyone involved with the production of their items have been fired and new employees, quality control and craftsmenship have been implemented. He also mentioned that they use the same core as gsc and kiggly for cams.

I sold my Kelfords and went with GSC S2 Mivec cams as they showed slightly better whp gains all around.

They are very good cams, don't get me wrong. They also share the exact profiles on the intake and exhaust camshafts, so take that for what it's worth.

Though, this thread was originally about springs.
