Does the Act clutch kit Need/Bring a retaining clip?

I noticed by Act clutch when I removed it had a retaining clip with a wavy spring. Do the Act clutc kits bring/need it? I tried searching for an Act one but they only make an exedy wave lock retaining clip.

This is what I am talking about. All this came out of the pressure plate when I removed it. Is this something i need to buy or does the Act clutch kit bring all this?

Also the 3 flywheel metal dowels were cut off when resurfaced because the machine shop could not remove them. No problem ?

the dowels are used to line up the pressure plate with the flywheel, if you can line it up properly i would guess it would be alright. but i personally wouldnt use it, i would buy a new flywheel

I can't afford right now to buy a flywheel. The guide pins are just to guide the clutch in. From what the machine shop told me its useless beyond that.

Yeah I will have to align it just the way it would of been with the pins. Then insert the 6 bolts and torque them.

The dowel pins are important to keep the pressure plate centered on the flywheel and maintain proper balance of the spinning assembly. Running without them would risk unnecessary vibration and/or engine bearing damage from the out-of-balance condition.

I don't see how it will be off balance. There are three dowel pins equally placed like a pyramid. If you cut them off it will still be in balance. The pressure plate is not going anywhere, with the six bolts that's bolted together.

Just to say some of your flywheels don't even come with dowels.

I don't see how the pressure plate can't align itself once you bolt on the 6 bolts. Is the clearance from the dowel to the pressure plate tighter then the clearance of the bolt and the pressure plate opening for the bolt to go thru?

the holes from the pressure plate to the dowels on the flywheel are a very tight fit to ensure vibrations dont allow the bolts to come loose. but its your car, we have given you our advice and we all said dont do it and buy a new flywheel. up to you now.
