New AEM 50-1000 320 lph fuel pump

I am pretty sure my Walbro 255 died, so this morning I called MAP to figure out which fuel pump I wanted to replace it with, kind of expecting to be sold a DW300.

After a brief conversation they sold me on AEM's newly released 320lph fuel pump.

http://www.maperformance.com/aem-hig...p-50-1000.html

I told them I needed something I could easily and quickly plug and play replace my Walbro with and they said it should be a direct replacement. I was a little apprehensive about being the first guinea pig on a brand new product but in the past all my experience with AEM and MAP have been good so I said what the hell I'll try it. For the price and specs it can't be beat. $99 shipped with new sock, line, clamps, etc.

I wondering if anyone else has any testing or experience with this pump? I don't have access to the equipment or the time to test this one off the car myself and MAP hadn't done any testing on it yet, so I hope it works out easily.

I'l post results after I receive and install it.

I wonder if it can make the same 600+ MAP made on the DW300, but be more reliable then the DW300.

Does it flow enough to eliminate the need for 2 Walbro's for E85 users? Can you use these in a Full Blown or BR double Pumper?

from my research these are the same dimensions as the walbro 255, the fiter on the AEM appears to be larger is the only difference.

i have tried to find out as much information as i can, less than 100 shipped for 320LPH is a great deal.

everything i can find suggests it should be a direct replacement for a walbro 255.

hope he posts comments about the install soon! i need a new fuel pump! and this will be the one i buy granted he comes back with good comments!

Great news! This will alleviate my need for a double pumper if it actually supports up to 1000hp. But does anyone know what needs to be done to the wiring?

brain fart for you guys. it supports 1000hp at 43psi.

under boost the pump will be at much higher pressure. 1psi higher per pound of boost. so at 40psi boost the pump will be at 83psi. flow drops dramatically with pressure.

there should be no wiring needed, same plug as walbros, and walbros plug right into OEM.

Hey Sparky, I just sent you a message on Facebook ten minutes ago! Yeah, same place, same landlord, still *****ing me out for wrenching any time she sees the light on in the garage. I might be evicted by December because I wont stop working on my car there. No, I was involved with the Ruckus up on North Polk instead. Drinks, fireworks and celebration, but my neighborhood tends to have a little more sense, pride and intelligence than the rioting mob in the Mission sunday night! SF! Giants! give me a call and lets meet up before I leave for Hawaii Sunday. Damn, I should have expedited shipping on the fue pump. The truck's in the shop too getting more goodies, so I am carless for a few more days. Italian again or sushi?

Anybody have any updates? I'm kind of relying on this thread to let me know it drops right in since this is the only place I can find out any info for this pump going into an evo.
