Or MAPerformace, I know they sell the walbro install kit that comes with a new filter. They should offer a specific EVO kit for the AEM PUMP.

I can't start my car until my TB gets back from Milspec. Should be about Wednesday.

I'm also going to call map to see if they can send me the correct filter since I ended up using the old Wally filter from my old pump.

Yes, I spoke to Bob from Map. He says they are not giving a filter that works for evos because its a universal pump.

Funny thing is, when I spoke to Nate thru pm, I asked him if it comes with a filter and he said " yes, it comes with a filter". I guess its my fault for assuming since this is a evo forum that the filter would actually fit an evo? smfh

I'm pretty disgusted about it personally...

Any other mods to the fuel system besides the DW pump?

As I figured, it had to be something besides just slapping in a DW300.

No one said it was a secret weapon, but you should have said up front that you used one. I doubt anyone who didn't know any better would have figured out what you meant.

*EDITED*
Good news and bad news, mostly good for the rest of you. First the good...
The stock filter sock fits the AEM, and the whole thing bolts up just like the Walbro 255.

The supplied AEM neoprene looking insulation sleeve does not fit into the stock carrier.
I'm not thrilled to re-use the dirty stock filter sock again but I just wanted to get the car running again for now.

Now the bad news...
My car still won't start. It crank it over and over but it won't start. I can't hear the pump whine/prime before, but it whines for a second or two AFTER. I think my problem may be the blue and black fuel pump wires inside the carrier and how loose they are in the gray connector (see pic below). They pull out of the connector very easily, and this is a downward/falling direction so hard bumps could cause them to disconnect, which is exactly how my pump died now that I think about it.

I'm not sure what the best way fix this is. Get new crimp connectors? It's not that the plastic clip connector isn't tight, it's just that the crimp connectors inside it don't fit snugly enough to form a secure connection with the terminals on the carrier side. Any ideas?

I want to keep working on it tonight but I just received a cease and desist letter from my garage landlord when I came in to post this . More tomorrow hopefully. I need to at least get the car running again before they can carry out my full eviction!
