well get it tuned look at the numbers. It sounds like a good idea in theory. a little innovation never hurt any one, as long as it worked.

i thought all the back housings/hotsides were the same (10.5) and the compressor housings/cold sides were the only thing different between all the turbos....

I admire your ingenuity. Good luck with your hybrid.

Just to make totally sure...You combined the Red's compressor side(comp wheel & comp housing), with the HTA Green's exhaust side(turbine wheel & turbine housing), right?

The Red and the Green have different compressor wheels and their turbine wheels are different too. They share the same OEM MHI housings. That is, externally they look stock.

However, internally Forced Performance has to cut(machine) the two housings to different dimensions because the Red has a larger compressor wheel and a larger turbine wheel in contrast to the Green.

You are right my friend i took the red housing put the green back wheel and in front the red compresor wheel to pull more air armed everything back together double check everythin again put it on the car and make some pulls the car pulls very hard and spools alot quicker than a standar red i will said the as a green but with a lot of a punch maintining the boost to redline

I am still unsure about which Green we are discussing as there are two basically different and unlike "Green" turbos.

There exists the older, original FP Green. Which is nowadays commonly referred to as the "Old School" Green. This turbo is no longer being made by FP. It had slightly larger than stock IX turbo's comp and turbine wheels.

Now FP manufactures what is referred to as the 73 HTA Green. This is FP's current "Green" offering. This turbo can be fitted with either the stock MHI IX compressor cover, or the optional 84mm Flow Advancement Port compressor housing. The current production 73 Green has a 73mm major diameter HTA comp wheel paired with a 65mm turbine wheel.

I think it is better than a standard original green and not as much power potential as a regular red. Sounds like the best of what you had.
