Coolant spraying Windshield

My car has been spraying Coolant at my windshield under Full Boost. What could cause this? Is my head lifting? How common is this? And how could I know for sure if its my head lifting. I am going to do a compression check and see where its at.

Is the coolant coming from the exhaust vent in the hood, or the gap between the hood and windshield? If it's the former I'd suspect the radiator cap. Check for leakage around it.

From the vent in the hood and near my radiator cap there is coolant everywhere. I tried a new cap but it didnt fix the problem. I have a Mishimoto Radiator.

hmm. do you have headstuds? you could be lifting the head, which pressurizes the coolant system, which would be too much for your cap to handle.

It has ARP's but they were installed by previous owner so they have unknown miles.

you should be able to do some visual tracing of its source. follow the trails til they end, youll find your culperate. hopefully its something simple like a rad cap or pinhole in a hose(which i have seen form in both turbo coolant hoses and throttle body coolant hoses). check the two hoses going from the tstat housing to the throttle body

Probably a ruptured coolant hose...find and replace the hose. If not, then it's your head

If you have a stock location turbo check the hard line going to the top of the turbo. That line has cracked on my a couple times already.

It is probably a line related to turbo ...I've got pretty high miles and hot Floridia temps that don't help rubber tubing...the reason it's hitting the windshield is because you're driving at pretty high speeds and the pressurized lines shooting coolant out.otherwise it would just stay under the hood

I can punch it in 2nd at 4k rpms and once it makes full boost it shoots it to my windshield. So I am not even going that fast when it happens.

I have a TME upgraded Evo 9 Turbo at 32psi on E85. The lines are brand new from a Map Evo 8 Install kit.

I removed the upper radiator hose and ran a water hose through it and the water was going through the block fine. I replaced the thermostat already and got a new cap.

My car made 458 torq and 409hp all wheel hp on a Mustang Dyno on E85 at 32psi Boost.

I am thinking the head studs finally gave in. That's a lot of boost to run through unknown mile ARP's who knows when they were installed and if they were torq down right. I am going to check them this weekend.

torque them down to 110 all around. They're probably at factory specs.

Thanks a lot for that info. Yeah I am going to do that this weekend. I can drive the car around town staying out of boost or only hitting 20psi and it wont spray my windshield. It only seems to happen when I hit 30+ psi boost.

And its not misting the windshield lol it looks like its raining hard and it hits my windshield hard.
