Gruppe s flywheel
Gruppe s flywheel
any opinions on this flywheel?? i noticed its not as pricey as the others. Price sometimes says a lot about the quality of the construction, or the company may be looking out for customers and there wallets by offering good prices (spoolinup for example). i havent heard much about the company or the flywheel itself so any insight would be appreciated
Search Gruppe S on here. You'll find everything you need to know.
To your question though I had their flywheel in my car for 80k or so without issue. But I wouldn't buy from them now if I lived next door

couldnt find a recent post on the quality as over time quality that a company produces can get better or worse, like precision turbos in my opinion have gotten crappy since theyve been bought out, and according to you, the same has happened with gruppe S, sorry for bringing up the subject again, just was trying to get recent info

I heard not so good things about them from the locals out in Cali when I first go my evo a few years ago. Seems like that hasnt changed. I ordered from them before and was lucky though. It was the only place I could find the enkei rct4 wheels I wanted.
To answer your question, idk much about that flywheel. The website claims its 15lb. So its closer to the oem, for a dd thats not such a bad thing actually. http://www.gruppe-s.com/parts/527/Gr...t_Flywheel.php
Its probably cheaper because it is not SFI certified, idk. Here is the one I went with. I decided to go with one that was steel vs aluminum. http://www.maperformance.com/competi...n-evo-8-9.html
here is why... http://www.teamrip.com/flywheel%20info.html
