Air inlet tube?

I have decided that I am going to go with an AMSoil air filter and maf adapter plate, but i cannot find where to buy this filter anywhere. On another note, I was thinking of getting either the samco air inlet tube or the fp. Anyone have any advice?

I recommend the stock intake tube unless you are only after looks. Use the drop down menu where it says filters. Air filter part #EaAU4560

Vibrant MAf adapter is a quality piece.

My tuner disagrees with this advice. That is the setup I went with and when I thought i had come up a little short he said I left some power on the table with no intake.

Now I've picked up a used Perrin (which he recommended) that I'll put on soon, he says this will lean me out a bit enabling the addition of a little more fuel. It's wider and smoother so it seems to make sense to me.

Then I'll have to sell my Vibrant MAF adaptor...

I figure I'm this deep in, no way I'm leaving even 10 HP on the table, if I have a choice. Plus i'm hoping it will net me a smoother throttle response, sometimes it seems to choke up at very low RPM and my intuition is that the only restriction is at the inlet since every single other bolt-on from there to before the exhaust inlet on the turbo has already been upgraded.

and worse comes to worse... it'll look cool.

I have personal experience with the stock pipe, Perrin pipe, and STM pipe. I know there is no benefit to running a different pipe so I'll go ahead and disagree with your tuner.

you may have personal experience with those pipes with your particular setup but how many different setups did you test it with?

the tuner has experience with every type of intake matched with countless different setups...

I sure hope you're wrong.

have a nice day.

I thought it kinda made more sense that a wider inlet tube would allow more airflow which would lead to more power.

since this is a very easy install I plan on doing some logging before and after and maybe even some virtual dyno. why not, right? I still need that tactrix cable, got to wait a few weeks to buy it.

Ok it is worthless on a stock turbo. Based on his question about adding a cone filter to his setup I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he is on stock turbo.
