Manley Rods are contacting the sleeves 2.4LR build! Engine builders pls help!!

So I've been parting this all together for almost a year now and finally receiving my last few little parts. Ive built 10+ Honda race motors in the past, so I'm doing my whole build myself. Im using a 4g64 block and crank out of a low mileage 04' eclipse and 156mm Manley turbo tuff I beam rod w/ custom 86.5mm wieseco 1400hd lr 10:1 comp pistons.
Here is the issue though, my new rods are contacting the bottom of my cyl walls not allowing the crank to turn. I already notched my block on number three and it has clearance for the rod cap, I am 100% sure it's the rod hitting the bottom of the sleeve as I am watching it and used oil to make a witness mark so I could see where its happening. I am also 100% sure all the rods and pistons are facing the right way. It's almost like the rod is to wide, anyone else ever see or hear of this happening? I need to get it up and running ASAP, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to grind in two places, on the bottom of the cylinder on all cylinders and in two spots lower in the block as the piston is at BDC, I can't remember which cylinder but I'm sure you can figure it out.

Grind your cylinder at the very bottom. Make sure its wide as the rod and has enough extra clearance for thermal expansion.

Here is the pic of my engine when i built it, i used the same rods and encountered the same issue, remember Manley recommends 0.060" clearance between the rods and block, i accomplished that with a piece of cardboard about 0.065" thick that i used "feeler gauge" style to check clearance between rods and block after clearance, let me know if you have any more questions, i just went though the whole thing myself also, also have the info for the water pump that doesn't need an adapter

Yes sir.those rods are beefy, they need the clearance.

Double check you have the correct piston. When I was building my 2.4LR. I had Manley TT I beams 156mm and they accidentally sent me the regular 1400hd pistons instead of the custom ones with the wrist pin 6mm higher wich caused the piston to sit 6mm above the deck and the rod hit the bottom of the sleeve. That was a night mare :|
