HKS Camshaft Identification

I need a little help identifying which HKS camshafts I have. The camshafts were included as an extra with a car.

The camshaft with the marking, "AM004" I believe is a HKS 272 exhaust cam for an Evo 8 application.

The other camshaft with the marking, "A04" has me scratching my head a little. Any help is appreciated.

This should help

HKS Camshaft Identification-hksspecs2.jpg

The 004 cam is an exhaust cam 264 duration.

The "A04" I would guess is the date it was ground
A=Jan
so Jan 2004

Thanks for the input. I don't think it's a 264 camshaft for a DSM application though.

The marking is AM004, not RM004. According to this link, it would be a HKS 272 exhaust cam for an Evo 8 application:

The marking on the other camshaft "A04" is interesting if it's referring to January of 2004, but unfortunately that doesn't help identify which camshaft it is.

Sorry about confusing the RM and AM

On the other cam, the one you ask about that has the "A04" on the next hex, it looks like it has "006" engaved on it.

Could be this cam....

22002-AM006
Mitsubishi 4G63/CN9A,CP9A EX Duration 280 Valve Lift 10.2 (Step 2)
(This cam is discontinued)

22002-AM004
Mitsubishi EX 4G63/CT9A Duration 272 Valve Lift 10.2 (Step 2)

Here is a link to HKS europe--has all the part numbers and Id's---nothing on 04, but some more info.

Thank you for the information and links BogusSVO and meckert. I'm still scratching my head a little over this one camshaft but BogusSVO you might be onto something, I wonder if the cam is indeed this one:

22002-AM006
Mitsubishi 4G63/CN9A,CP9A EX Duration 280 Valve Lift 10.2 (Step 2)

Also, something worth mentioning. Both camshafts have a slot at the end of them. On Evo applications that would mean they're both exhaust camshafts, correct?
