I am very curious about more comments on this as I had the same scenario when installing the cams and figured it was by design somehow.

I have extremely low oil pressure at idle sometimes now and the valve train sounds like a diesel at times, clattering away.

I noticed the same fitment issue, but didn't evaluate it as not covering an oil output as needed.

I didn't completely follow what machining you did to solve the problem. Can provide some more details

yep,i dont know why kelford sell this cams in the aftermake.it is a big problem.
the 9-tx272 is crudely made, the stock is better.i dont know if other problem will appear when i use it.

first, you need to cut off that my finger pointed out .after that, make a bearing to install that position, the clearance should be like stock.that's all.

....I'm surprised this hasn't come up sooner if there is in fact a wide spread issue. I run these cam's and haven't had any issues. Then again i didn't check them for this issue when they were installed.

Does it make mechanical and logical sense that if this oil feed hole is not covered completely then in some cases, like low revs that the oil pump would not be providing enough oil pressure to the lifters?

Essentially I have this clattering when idle drops below 1k, and I have been trying to figure out could possibly causing it. If that opening is allowing oil to pump out without any resistance is that enough to cause the type of problem I am describing?

Gotta find my pics of my install......
