evo starting issue

Does anyone else have the problem with turning the key to the on position and not having your fuel pump prime?

When my car sits over night in the garage and try to start it in the morning it wont start until at least 2 attempts in turning the key and turning over the engine. At that point when you actually turn the key to the start position the fuel pump comes on and primes the fuel rail?

So, is this how the evo is set up for only priming the pump when putting the key to start, or is it suppose to prime the pump when the key is just in the on position (not cranking over the starter?)

Lmk what you think just need answer before I waste time and money replacing parts.

i had a similar issue mine would periodically not start......i tried the ignition switch connector method as posted on here, helped for a while then problem returned. My car ended up holding full volts with acc all on and off.....in the end my problem ended up being the starter. Test your battery with volt meter see what its holding...could just be a dead cell battery too... good luck.

the car battery is solid, cranks the car very well and always starts up once it driven, but every morning is the same problem, but now its getting to the point where the car will not even start, I think the fuel pump is bad..
