So in other words, the straight cat delete pipe and air intake only give you an extra 10whp right? Interesting...I always though there will be a good hp gain running without the cat but maybe I'm wrong.

cool your baseline was within 2whp of my baseline on that exact same dyno...... i dyno'd at 216 stock and 260 with just an avc-r and safcII albeit at a slightly higher boost. just recently i installed a 3" catback and 264/272 combo and hit 285 at stock boost of 19. when we cranked the boost i hit fuel cut so i'll have to take care of that before i can crank the boost up at all. i'd also like to get a downpipe and cat delete and see what happens. keep us posted of your progress! i am especially interested since i will be able to compare the numbers straight across since i tune on that same dyno.

Nice numbers! I just have one quick question. I see a bunch of SAFC numbers that start around -4 and end up at -14ish. How is it that your car must start at +xx instead of -xx ? I was under the impression that -xx would be leaning out the car more, while +xx would be adding even more fuel(richening). Do different evos act that differently?

Very possible that each car will be a tiny bit different. Email David Bushur...that guy knows his stuff..prob give you a better answer than I could.

Its BOTH plus and minus..

I can tell you that under load (and boost) you can find a bit of a lean spot with an aftermarket filter.. the + #'s compensate for the "Weirdness" in the MAF, basically evening out the lean condition that the Air filter can cause.. over 5500rpm, the maps are REALLY Rich, therefore his leaner settings will lean things out a bit, and from looking at the numbers, their all within a safe range for most cars with similar mods.

When you say pump gas do you mean 91, 93 or 94 octane?

Has anyone checked air pollution with cams? What if I just installed the 264 exhaust only? It seems to me that the intake can be taken care of by bumping the boost slightly.

My car has RMR down pipe, cat back & intercooler pipes. I also have a Buschur MBC and an AEM short ram kit. Would these settings be a good place to start?

Actually those settings are fairly conservative so you can get away with them.. I didn't catch where the poster was from, but most references to pump gas on the east coast are 93 octane

I am going to install my AFC very soon and was wondering have any of you tried these settings on 93 octane.. I currently have a K&N Cone filter, 3" Cat back exhaust, and greddy profec b 2 set at 20 psi. I was going to run these settings on my car but here in FL we have 93 octane any suggestions? I also read that someone said these are fairly conservitave settings. Any suggestions would be GREAT!

How do these sound for 93 octane pump gas? Safe or not?

These settings are much more conservative than what I am running on 93 octane. I am set for 20psi and am using Buschur's recommendations out of the box. I have no issues. Knock sensor is almost asleep and the car feels real strong with no apparent problems. I am less rich than you in midrange and leaner at the very top.

Wow, since when did you guys started to add so much fuel in the midrange. mine is

4600 -2%
5000 -4%
5400 -5%
5800 -7%
6200 -8%
6600 -9%
7000 -9%

mods mbc 20 psi, Blitz sus intake, RFL bov, HKS s-afr, removed muffler valve.

Do you guys think I'm too lean right now. Whenever I get on it hard I smell something. Sort of like a burnt aluminum or something. Hard to explain but definitely smells. Is this a lean smell. I just ordered a EGT and will find out.

Car is very strong btw.

I am leaner above 5400 rpm and from 4200 to 4800 I am +1!
I think that you are too lean in the midrange and rich at the top.
