REAL results (Dyno, SAFC Settings & More)

I decided to post an unbiased report of several products that I tested on my own personal EVO (This is NOT our project evo)

First is baseline dyno (about 500 miles on the car with pump gas)

Second is dyno with B&B Turboback exhaust with stock cat, SAFC II, AVC-R set at 20PSI and pump gas. This exhaust was so quiet at this point I barely noticed sound wise it was there. I could not hear the exhaust inside the car but once you see the car from the outside it sounds deep and powerful.

Third is the SAME as above but with a cat delete pipe, RMR intake filter only kit, Forge recirc valve and also shows the air/fuel. The exhaust got a bit more noticeable, especially from a spectator's perspective. The intake and bov added some snappy throttle response and some intimidating sounds..

Fourth is the actual SAFCII settings for this setup
RPM-correction factor%
as read from my afc
1600-(0)
2200-(0)
2800 (+4)
3400 (+7)
4000 (+7)
4600 (+6)
5200 (+2)
5800 (-2)
6400 (-5)
7000 (-7)
7600 (-7)

I just felt it would be helpful to share this information so anyone out there who wonders would be able to get an idea of HP numbers for parts installed and program their SAFC accordingly to be assured of solid a/f ratio's.

BTW- I installed HKS 264 camshafts this past weekend and will go to the dyno to check the a/f and power once again. I will post the results as well.

No sorry, this is all I have. Its just too expensive and time consuming to do each mod then dyno it. The install the first day and tuning started at 9am and we left at 9pm. So an all day affair pretty much. But if you have a lot of spare cash and free time (those two rarely go together in my experience...lol) then someone please do it..that would be eye opening I'm sure.

Good numbers Cheyne. The third dyno line is nice and smooth!

I estimate I have about 280whp. I eventually will get a mbc and shoot for 300.
Congrats

Thanks guys.

I can't wait to test the cams and see what the numbers are. Usually when you can notice the power gain its quite signifigant and with the cams above 4500RPM the car is just stupid fast (for the street).

I used the 264/264 setup and theres no difference! Not that I can notice anyways. I even watch my SAFC II digital RPM readout and its exactly the same.

On our project EVO we used a 264/272 setup and it has a slight burble to the idle but I like it. It sounds mean.

I believe you can even go 272/272 and you would be fine. Even that's really not all that radical of a cam duration
