Good question, I don't know but I'll see if I can find out....
I do like the workmanship of that IC. I don't know all the particulars but I'm thinking that Greddy has been in the business a long time and they make good products. Anyway, I've ordered it already so I guess I'll find out......

I'm guessing that the loop is to route air back into the intake track or to mount the BOV. could be way of base, but it makes sense.

The greddy IC is only 100 more if that. The make quality looks alot better than Burschur. I like burschur, but I dont like the way they completely neglect the looks. heeheh, you can say I'm a poser or whatever, but I like the way the greddy FMIC looks. I like to look good and go fast, and it I have to buy a couple hundred more to get where I want, I'm cool with that. And I'm sure it worth the money. By the way, what the best price for the greddy IC?

Well, I definitely like the Greddy IC for it's looks. The other thing that sold me was that it comes with all the piping and it looks good too . According to George from Boost Solutions, the Greddy IC for Supras is consideed to be the best flowing one. The cost is $1180 so pricewise it's in the ball park. You can find cheaper ICs as well as pricier ones...... I guess it's a matter of preference (donning asbestus suit )

I think the Greddy FMIC looks small in that pic. The BR IC looks like it really fills every usable opening in the front.

Pictures are deceiving.... core size 600 x 276 x 76mm ( 23.62 x 10.886 x 2.99" thick)
Of course, the BR IC might be larger it's listed at 24 x 10.5 x 3.5".
Anyway, I don't know how it all works out in the end since the end tanks, and other design parameters would affect the actual volume of the IC. As far as which one looks larger, well.... the BR IC is 3/8" longer, but it's also 7/16" shorter in the height dimension....

Heh, hard to really see any huge differences in that CAD image but I think the unique thing the BR FMIC kit brings to the table is definitely the piping

Well, if you multiply the core evelope dimensions, the BR is 882 cu. in. and the Greddy is 768.81 cu. in. All other things being equal (which we have no way of knowing at this time) the BR IC is 14.4% larger than the Greddy. Of course, this is just the area enveloped by the outside dimensions. The actual internal capacity depends on the area & length of the internal passages.

I'm not sure what you are talking about when you say piping. The BR does not come with piping, only the Greddy includes the piping (unless I missed something big time looking at the web sites) I think the upper IC pipes are a separate item at $330. The IC costs $750 so the total would be $1080 which is $100 less than the Greddy.....

The less bends and length you have in your intercooler plumbing the better.

The only problem I see with this is when the inlet air enters the endtank, it slams into the oppisite side, then makes the other 90deg turn.

Buschur's core is a lot nicer than Greddy's though.

Here's the HKS Type R IC for the EVO. Anyone know what size I/C pipes the Greddy or Buschur use?
