I did a poor battery relocation install, help!

I tried to relocate my battery to the trunk( had a mini battery and need more juice)......
As I was tighting the positive cable collar down onto the battery pole my rachet slips and hit's the taylor box while stuck the the battery bolt.

Sparks flew a few mpment until i was able to unstick the rachet.
it was so hot that the box had a melted area now as did the rachet.
the wouldnt start....

I put the old mini battery back in place, gave it a deep charge and sometime it would start.
Took off the Spoolin up cop kit to check the plugs.
the 2nd from the left (while looking at the car from the front), the plus was fouled, the coil appeared the be dis colored.

I replaced all the plugs(gaped at 23), and replaced the burnt coil with a new one. And the in-line fuse needed to be replaced as well.

the car now starts and runs and will go into boost, no cel lights, idels at 1000 - 1100 steady. rev fine out of gear.

Take it for a drive it runs poorly, slow, rough, unresponsive, its choppy.
from about 2000 on up!

what should I check, what else could be affected by the power surge?

thanks for any help.

There is a fuse that is connected to one of the terminals...you probably blew that fuse. I had to get a replacement from the dealership. I did the same thing lol

If thats the case what howdo I find the problem? Take it too an electircal auto Mach?

checked all the fuses.....none were burnt.

Back to the coils....they are a part of a spoolin up kit. one coil was burnt, inside the spark plug cylinder is scorched, while the other spark plug cylinders have a polished look to them. All of them had some sort of black gook inside them, I did my best to clean all of it out.

thanks

I Was wondering if the problem might be one of the ECU's?

Try to reset the ecu by disconnecting the negative terminal and leave it disconnected for a bit. Connect the negative terminal back up and then take it for a drive see if it cleared it up. The electrical system probably just freaked out with the power surge and may just need a reset.

So I assume this is due to your accidental short and not a pre existing issue? Sounds like it was grounding through the spark plugs. You may need to get a scan tool and view the actual data from your sensors and see if anything is acting goofy or not communicating.

Correct this has occured since the "accidental short"
is this the tool you plug into the oboII under the dash?
If so I did this and currently no codes? shows 0/0

I have pulled the neg. cable a few time to change the ing. coil and spark plugs.

maybe the car just need to be driven to get it to relearn?

Well you would need something that can do more than just pull codes. It would be nice to get a scanner than can look at the live data from your vehicle, things such as your sensor values and voltages and what not. If, for example, you see an oxygen sensor voltage value not changing at all or something of the sort then you know where you can go to. Worst case scenario is you shorted your ecu but I wish to be optimistic and say maybe just some sensors. G/L

You would have to test it. For this, something like a diagnostic scan tool and a dvom will come in handy. You basically are looking to see if the ecu is communicating to the various sensors with the information its receiving. The part that sucks is this is only part of the story if you find no communication because you may also just have a wire damaged. If you shorted it that bad you may have fried some of the wiring. A lot of these ecus nowadays are very particular to resistance values. Before you start guessing and just throwing parts at it, you need to start digging into the electrical system or take it to someone who can. Tuned or reflashed probably wont fix it if you damaged the physical hardware inside the ecu.
