high idle after warm up

high idle after warm up

after the car is at operating temperature it idles and 1900-2200 even 2400 on occasion. all my hoses are straight and everything is sealed. but its throwing a cel for temp switch. could it be this? just a little help please cause if this doesnt work my final idea is a tune but thats not in the budget for a minute..

It doesn't have to do with your tune per-say but if it's throwing a CEL for coolant temperature switch then that is the best place to start. Are you sure all of your vacuum lines are connected behind the intake manifold? There are one or two tricky ones back there that pop off and are hard to spot. I suggest using zip ties to hold them down.

well its not the coolant switch and the hoses are straight. but im on my second maf sensor and its now throwing the code for the second time. i didnt mention that because i had bought a new one and expected it to work. so i guess we'll see...
