Intake temps

With the addition of just a cone filter i saw intake temps drop from 83 degrees f to 69 degrees f. Test was done the same day under the same conditions. I dont know how much power that would add but just thought you guys would like to know that a filter does something besides add sound.

i tihnk its due to the fact that the cone doesn't retain heat like the plastic box does... but right on good info

How did you measure the intake temps & where specificlly? What were the ambient temps @ the time of measuring? Where is the cone filter located?

I am glad to see other people taking measurements as well. Your numbers are different then my findings, so thats why I am asking all these questions.
