Works skidplate
Works skidplate
Does anyone know if the Works Croxx skidplate will work with the RMR downpipe I have installed. The RMR only clears one of the lower tie bars. So rather than buy that gay *** tie bar RMR sells I thought this may be an option. The car drives fine with the one lower tie bar. But I would also like to get the skidplate for some the times when I do catch some air
I have written to Works 3 times now and none of those idiots ever write back.
Thanks

The exhaust I have installed came with some spacers for both of the front bars. The spacers were just bar stock cut to the length of the flat area of the crossbar and matched to the width.
The kit didn't come with longer bolts, so I had to go source those from a 24 truck repair depot at 2 AM.
It worked out, though, they had proper hardend bolts that matched the the
bolts with the extra length I needed.
Anyway, my point is that with some bar stock and a drill press you should be able to make a set of spacers that will clear your downpipe. You'll need 5 spacers, 2 on one bar and 3 on the other. The longer bolts you'll need can also be found - I usually try try larger truck repair depots for odd stuff like those bolts, they seem to stock a much wider suppy of "odd bits" than the local auto parts stores.

Sorry you haven't been able to get a hold of us via email, we have been a little backed up and we apologize. For future reference, the best way to get a hold of us is over the phone.

For those of you with concerns regarding WORKS viability, I can assure you that they are alive and well, and still providing great customer service, and hard at work on innovative, exciting new products for the evo. Phone is the best way to reach them, and to date I don't think that there is one customer who feels that they have been slighted by either the products or the service in the end. Please keep in mind that you are dealing with a small company that is not just in the business of retail sales, but in R&D, product development, hands-on istallation, etc....So a little patience is worth it, in my opinion, as they make adjustments to their communication process. Good people, good company, excellent products. Just my 2 cents.
