Read up somewhere that pte's 3in vband outlets aren't exactly 3in like the Garrett ones are..

In the end what I wanna know is if a Garrett t3 3in vband outlet hotside will work for a hotparts kit that was based off a pte turbo utilizing pte's t3 3in vband outlet..

I know I know , noobie question !!

Not even close to the same size v-bands, I ran into this when I switched from a 6262 to the 3586. Location of the outlet flanges also differs between a PTE v-band outlet and a Garrett GT v-band hotside.

Now that the OP's got his answer, care to share how the two turbos differed?

 

I can't comment yet, I made the switch too late in the season and had to drop the trans 3 different times dealing with clutch issues after. I'll be out early March weather permitting.
