I have an 03 Evo shell that needs an engine, and i'm looking at buying a crashed 05 with an engine. My question is will it work? I know the 2006 MIVEC is out and 03 and 04 are basically the same, but the 05 is the 8.5 so idk.

Youll be fine. Same exact everything. Except turbo (ie hotside) and the 05 is equipped with an ACD transfer case.

 

As long as your keeping the 8 transfer case you won't have a problem. Good luck
