So I have an 03 shell, and I'm looking at an engine right now. I can get my hands on a 9 engine a lot easier than an 8. So my question is If get a 9 engine and replace the MIVEC head with an 8 head, would that work? I don't want to redo any wiring so any help would be great.

 

Yes that would work but you will have to plug the hole for the MIVEC oil feed.
