Is this normal?

Hey peeps,
i have about 2500 miles on my evo.... Had the fluids changed to redline.... have conti contacts on the car... rmr dp intake and dynoflashed...... now since i'v done upgraded i listen 4 unordinary noises... and it seems that when i have the pedal pushed in even slightly from about middle of 2nd gear up i seem to hear almost a winding noise...... i'm trying to figure if this is normal due too the tires or something or if i'm having problems with the tranny....... Maybe it's nothing but it doesn't hurt too ask..... anyone else having this or am i going crazy.....
TIA

Hey I have that noise too. Do a search it's common and it's not the tranny. It's the clutch pressure plate.

No biggie man. Enjoy the car and beat the snot out of it.

Hi crazy evo owner!

I'm not sure if you are riding the clutch and hear the noise or hear it through the shifts. If you can bearly hear it, then it is bearly a problem for now. Nate Pharr (11 sec. 91 Maroon VR4 Gallant - east coast) once told me that if it starts and moves, it is not broke... yet. You might want to re-check you fluid levels and just keep "ear" on it.

Was you GSX AWD? The next time you get together with another Evo owner, have he/she ride along and get an opinion.

Are you sure you're not hearing the turbo? It's a wonderful sound.
