Heard also has to do where you T off your boost control line from, alot of people will have different opinions but if you tee off at the blow off valve you will get constant boost, if you dont have leaks anywhere else...

I use hallman pro rx holds steady boost all the way to redline.....

Guys, i appretiate your posts but STILL no one has answered my question. Im asking those of you who can hold your boost steady till redline to simply state if you car is 100% stock except the boost mbc. If your not, then what do you have?

None of my hardware is faulty and my installation is correct. My guage works fine, i can hold 20+psi boost the only thing is my boost tapers about 4psi no matter where i set it. if i set it at 20 psi, it will taper to 16, if i set it at 24psi, it will taper to 20, but it HOLDS 20 once it gets there. So i need to know from those of you who can hold it steady all the way to redline, what u have in your car.

It's your wastegate, that is the problem.

Internal wastegates are well known to be eratic at such high boost. And your MBC isn't helping.

Thats why I posted the link so you can check where you get your pressure source from.

MBC should have a minor variation like 1 psi but not 4....

You need to specify exactly where everything is routed. All this second guessing is going no where fast. It could be as simple as your MBC in line w/ the stock BCS, but it could be a number of other things. First things first:
*Where is your boost gauge tapped?
*Where does the line going to the MBC come from?
*Where does the line from the MBC go to?

To answer your other question--there is no reason a MBC on an otherwise stock vehicle shouldn't hold steady boost provided all components are working properly. There's no need to waste hundreds of dollars on <insert Tooner's name here> Flash.

that's exactly how i feel Jamie...

the only reason why i was curious where your boost gauge is tapped is because depending on where you tap it, you may get erratic boost gauge behavior...you should be tapped in the hose ABOVE the FPR...not below...or the BOV

i am just trying to throw out some ideas...your car may be boosting perfectly to redline but just have an anomoly with what is showing up on your boost gauge...

its an autometer guage. I have it tapped in where the instructions recommended. It starts to taper after 5000 rpm and by 7000 its prettymuch dropped 3.8 psi. the line to the mbc is comming from the wastegate actuator.
