I thought Vishnu was against aftermarket intakes. Regardless which is the best, you should have your ecu remapped the same time your intake is installed. More info is availabe with a 'Search'.

WORKS is also against an aftermarket intake. I think they are working on a new one. I'm not sure if Vishnu is, but I'd guess the same.

Save your money and put it into another mod. But as far as performance gain, I think there is. Your turbo will spool up a little fast and you gain some upper end. For losing any power, I would say no bc I raced other evos with stock airbox and I win. hahah....So no power decrease. But 200 is alot. Add another 300 and you got yourself a set of camshafts. Well worth the money there. Ohhh, the sound is pretty awesome too. I got the AEM intake, wondering if the other open air intakes sound different. ANybody in here know? Peace..

I agree. I just use a K&N drop in. Better throttle response and spool up. Plus it was proven that it adds 5 to 7 WHP on the dyno just by adding this filter. I think during a dyno day at Pruven they did a before and after with the K&N.

The *best* intake would be a large diameter intake that puts the air filter in a location where it can ingest air at ambient temperatures. Any turbo car that has a low restrictive intake that draws air from an ambient location will make more HP. Then a air box or under hood system *everytime*

This type of intake would be paramount

As mentioned on another thread;
Al has had big improvements in HP with the HKS Racing Suction and his Dynoflash.

no problem No plans on developing an intake yet. The stock intake is pretty hard to improve upon when dealing with stock turbo airflow limitations.

Cheers,
shiv
