The best ways to gain 100WHP on EVO 8..suggesstions

Hey,

Ok this is what I have done so far:

AMS Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII/VIII/IX Stainless Steel Turbo-Back Exhaust

ams FMIC

ams UICP+DICP

EVO 9 20G Turbo 10.5 Single Upgrade

Kelford 272/272 Race Cams

Kelford Beehive Valve Springs + Titanium Retainers

ECUTECH Flash

HKS EVO Reloaded Racing Suction Intake System

Walbro 255 Fuel Pump

GReddy PRofec Electronic Boost Controller

Now the question is what would be the next step considering the best $/HP,
or in my case the cheapest but still reliable way to gain true 100WHP?
I'm ready to invest around 2K.

Another thing you should know is that I'm planning to order the AMS V-Band Turbo Kit in a couple of months.

Today I'm running 520WHP looking to raise another 100.

I really appreciate you helping me guys in making the right decision!

Sam

Not E85 and I'm not into this or switching the turbo now!

Last year I bought this turbo and I want to go to the edge with this one before I order the AMS V-BAND kit.

I want other setups for now..ready to hear your ideas guys.
maybe fuel rail , injectors...

Bigger cams, cop, 02 dump, e85 and more boost. Do you have a built bottom end?

Your current hp was prob made on very high boost, so gaining 100hp on just E85 fuel change or changing out for bigger cams is a bit optimistic, I'd say only option is turbo upgrade else find it hard to see how you gonna get 100hp any other way.

This. 100hp does not come "cheap" unless you just change a turbo... otherwise, you pretty much already have all the bolt-ons... you're going to be into big turbo territory now

Bigger cams, e85 tune, bigger turbo, o2 dump...at 520 hp another 100 isn't gonna come cheap...nitrous dangerous but would be the cheapest

Info on the 20G turbo? Go 35R, you will lose a tone of throttle response and get more lag from going to a single scroll but once the boost hits it'll be endless and 650WHP easily especially with E85, you'll run down bikes up top with that.

Now that I think about it, a "50 HP" nitrous pill puts down about 100 HP on boosted Evo right? For $2,000 you could afford you a small nitrous wet kit and an engine diaper.

stop dreaming.

First off, adding fuel mods does not add horsepower.
You will have to add bigger injectors and likely a bigger fuel pump (or BAP) to make more that much power. Convert to E85 at least for your high boost tune, or just run race gas; up to you.

If you really want to make more power, do it right:
upgraded pistons/rods, build the bottom end.
Headwork, +1mm valves
GSC R2 cams
MAP Rev3 IM (or magnus?)
Bigger FMIC

See how far that gets you and then upgrade the snail, you need to either push the setup you got or build it bigger and have it be reliable.
