Clutch knock/noise..?

Hi,
I've been reading through forums that have similar issues I'm having, but couldn't quite find one with the exact issue I'm having. My apologies if I double post.

I own an 03 Evo 8 GSR.

My issue is when I am idling in neutral, my clutch seems to make a small faint knocking noise. When I push the clutch pedal down, it goes away. I don't have to put it into gear to make it go away, just simply pushing the pedal down makes the sound disappear.

Any ideas? Fork? TOB?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer!!

Depending on what clutch you have there could be several explanations or problems.

It's completely stock. It may have a short throw.

The car only has 45k on it too so that's why I'm a little confused...

Mine had the same issue on the stock clutch, thought it was input shaft bearings, pulled trans and checked the bearings but they were perfect. Throw-out bearing felt fine as well. Replaced the clutch with comp stage 2 and noise went away.
