acd problem? snow indicator won't go off.

I have an 06 evo ix, and my snow indicator won't turn off. if i have it set in tarmac, tarmac and snow are lit. if i have it in gravel snow and gravel are lit and if in snow i have only snow lit. I know if all three are lit the acd is reporting an error however i can't find any information on just one staying lit. any info is appreciated

thanks
zig

left it off for a few minutes and went back and took her out... it's pouring outside and i couldn't get the back end out even if i tried. also engine braking seems a little less intense as does drive train noise. although it tends to quiet down when it's all warmed up. here's to hoping this is just dream.

Does the ACD light flash at any time? Like during start up or randomly while driving around?

Also have you check the fluid level ?

No flashing just solid on... Like they will all light up. Like normal when I turn the car on when I start it gravel light will go off. And tarmac and snow stay lit. I just recently had all new fluids maybe 2 months ago... Tranny acd LSD ill check today, or try to any way. I've been on google all night but I can't seem to find any info even remotely related to snow light not turning off.

Don't know if you can tell from the pic but snow is fairly dimly lit.

I know... It's seriously stressing me out. I'm gonna try and disconnect the battery and see if that doesn't help. Andto make matters worse I just switched jobs and waiting for my clients to find me... So if anyone lives on the Philadelphia main line come get your hair funked up with max at opal in Wayne.

Have two friends with 8's maybe my shop has a ix I can borrow from. At work leaving terminal unhooked until I have to move my car. We will see. It feels too like its stuck in snow setting. Or the rear wheels aren't driving at all.Definitely feel less drivetrain resistance when engine braking. It may just be in my head though.

If you do need a new ACD ecu, I have one for sale since I'm doing a JDM Evo 7 ACD/AYC drivetrain conversion on 05 evo 8.

Thanks bro... May def. Take you up on that. I reset the car and only tarmac lit but haven't put it in gear yet ill update around 2. How much are you looking to get for the ecu? Good luck with the ayc setup, def. Thinking that or 1.5 rear. With acd reflash.

Or just pop in a Non ACd Tcase, with a quaife LSD. Sell the pump and all the other crap. I did, and i love it, no more hassle of Acd. I also have a ACD ECU for a 06 IX for sale.

Well this is the first issue I've had with the acd since I've had the car, but that's almost def. In the cards for the future but at the moment I have to be careful as I've put the majority of my savings into my kitchen and just switched jobs, I do hair on the main line in pa. And moving is hard on your book, so I'm surely going to take a paycut over the next two or three months until I pick back up again. Anyway took her out and no snow light on I have about 25 miles or so anyone out there know how many miles the CPU needs to throw codes?

That's def. In the cards for the future but I've dumped more than half my savings into our new kitchen and switching jobs is hard on a hair ressers book. So ill likely be seeing a cut in pay over the next couple months. So o have to take it easy. Drove her around for about 25 miles anyone know how long it takes for ecu to send codes back out?

even if it were stuck in a particular mode i doubt you would notice anything on a regular drive. all 4 wheels still get power, it just changes how they lock up
