Oil pressure problem???

Illve researched on here already but seem lost with my issue. Cold start it is 60, once warned it is 10-13. But when I go drive it my pressure stays around 20 no matter what Rpms I'm at. When u stop and idle it goes as low 8. I drained my oil to see if I had bearing material but none whatsoever. This just started yesterday. I run vr1 synthetic 20-50 and have a fairly new Aem oil pressure gauge. My motor is a 2.4 built with balance shaft delete kit. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Could my oil pump be going bad.

When you had the 2.4 built did you replace the oil pump housing? If not that is possible it's just not pumping as it should. Also where do you have your oil pressure sensor tapped in at? I can tell you with my experience on my 2.4 with bs delete I see 90# at cold start and 40# at idle.

put a mechanical gauge on that just to verify and go from there i had a similar problem was my oil pump bought a new one from mitsubishi that day and put it on and walla oil pressure was perfect. i to thought my gauge was broke but i put a mechanical gauge on it and that gauge did the same and my prosport so i changed the oil pump.

Thanks guys. I will install a mech gauge and check pressures. I do have a good oil pump as a backup so i may install that too if my pressures are the same on both gauges.
