So by the looks of it , I have to use the bottom half of the acd carrier and the top half of the non acd carrier.
Im not really sure, I'm a bit confused by that guide.

This issue really interested me, so I researched for about 30 mins. There is really nothing on this top even on lancer register. The carbonetic is really the only one I can find that matches, but there is one slight issue.
Their website says the front helical ACD LSD can only be used with vechiles equipped with ACD. Weather it is because of the housing or internals is up for debate.

the stock helical diffs are interchangeable, generally aftermarket clutch type diffs are not interchangeable. at the very least you'd need to use the carrier housing the clutch type diff comes with but it's unlikely that you can just bolt the VCU up to the ACD style housing. At the very least you'd need to machine the VCU to work but more likely you'll find that the carrier housings are not compatible between the ACD and VCU due to the thickness of the R&P flange.

btw, that is a cusco diff, not a carbonetic.

yes, as stated earlier in this thread, the stock helical diffs are interchangeable.

Cant find any cuscos that even look similar. Would it make any difference if I used the whole acd case but blocked off the acd line? Do I have to use the transmission that came with the setup also? I havnt pulled it apart yet

i've never seen an evo7 TC so i really don't know if they're interchangeable. i'd assume yes...?

an acd tc with out the controller/pump it will basically be an open center diff. so it'll "work" but just not be ideal.

Dropped both tcases off at shep racing today to have the lsd fitted to the non acd tcase and a good look over of the tcase guts and new seals......

I appriciate everyones help. No one really knows anything about the 7's, I guess they are completely different then all the others from what I was told today.
